Harvest Seasons
Full Season: Late December – Late February
Peak Season: Early January – Early February
Seasonal harvest work is available from December to February, with roles for pickers, packers, bucket lifters, forklift and tractor drivers, cleaners, camp mums and dads, and more. We can assist with accommodation and transport.
Picker Roles
Picking starts around 6:00 AM, and takes place 7 days a week, weather permitting (we try to avoid picking in wet conditions).
Thanks to the long summer days on the Takatu Peninsula, with sunshine often lasting until 9:00 PM, you'll still have time to enjoy the beautiful evenings after work.
Packhouse Roles
Prefer to work indoors? Packhouse work involves sorting and packing cherries for both the local and export markets.
Hours typically run from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, depending on fruit volume. The packhouse is kept cooler than outdoor temperatures, so bring a couple of extra layers for comfort.
The packhouse offers a great team environment, with roles including:
- Packing staff
- Cool store staff
- Packing supervisors
- And more
Time Off
All staff receive statutory holidays off.
